Chreso Ministries (CM), is a non-governmental organization with a Christian orientation. CM is involved in various places in Zambia with the main focus on the capital Lusaka. Other places are Livingstone or Kabwe to name two examples.
CM stands for the commitment against HIV/AIDS and for an improvement of health care, education and the reception of orphans. The organization is based in the capital Lusaka. CM supports and promotes the poorest and most disadvantaged in Zambian society, especially HIV/AIDS patients, orphans and youth. Educational and vocational training, schooling and university education with a bachelor's degree are offered to children and youth without distinction of origin, gender or similar.
As a nongovernmental organization, Chreso Ministries, are open for anybody seeking help for health and education.
African evening at the Karlstorbahnhof
Heidelberg | cultural evening in the culture house
On Friday 07/26/2024 an Africa evening was organized in the Karlstorbahnhof-Kulturhaus. The evening was initiated by employees of the Heidelberg Kidney Center. The focus was on bringing together people from Heidelberg and the surrounding area who came here from different countries. They are here to work, seek protection and are part of our city society.
To bring people together, we spent the evening eating together, listening to African music and listening to a presentation by Martin Zeier on a project on “child nutrition in Zambia”. New acquaintances were made.
A group of Ms. Leuthold and colleagues drew attention to their initiative in northern Zambia (www.cfzd.de). The initiative is called “children with future in Zambia”. This gives us the opportunity to develop joint projects in the future.
It was a cheerful and successful evening in every respect, with many new contacts and ideas. In addition to the African music, there was a rich buffet to which many had contributed. Special thanks go to Rosemary Gitari, Angella Matepo and Ninette Hirschbrunn from the Heidelberg Kidney Centre for organizing the event and Faktenhaus for the photo documentation of the evening.
Due to the extremely positive response, we would like to organize such a meeting again.
